Original abstract art created in Denmark
I am a Danish visual artist based in Holte, North Zealand. I create original abstract and abstract-figurative paintings through an intuitive, layer-by-layer process using acrylic paint, charcoal, chalk and graphite.
My collection ranges from smaller works on paper to large paintings on canvas. Each work has its own page with dimensions, material, availability and price where applicable. Explore the current collection of original abstract paintings.
Abstract paintings from a studio in Holte
My studio is in Holte, north of Copenhagen, and visits can be arranged by appointment. The location makes it possible to experience available works in person while keeping my base stated accurately as Holte, North Zealand.
I have exhibited in Denmark and internationally, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki and Oulu. My work combines quiet colour, texture, movement and figurative traces that appear gradually within the painted surface.
Finding an original work
The ARTWORKS gallery shows available, sold and not-for-sale works with clear status information. Available paintings include dimensions and prices. For questions, a studio visit or an artwork enquiry, please use the contact page.
Commissions
I accept commissions for original paintings when the project is a natural fit with my artistic expression.
A commission is a very personal process, where our dialogue becomes the starting point for a painting I create specifically for you.
You are welcome to tell me about the size you have in mind, the colours and tones you are drawn to, and which of my existing paintings particularly resonate with you. This helps me understand what you respond to and the atmosphere and direction you are looking for.
Your preferences become part of the starting point, but the final colour palette, composition and artistic expression develop as the painting evolves. I paint intuitively, and it is important to me to retain artistic freedom throughout the process.
I therefore do not reproduce existing paintings, and a commissioned work cannot be precisely predetermined. Each painting will be a new and original work, created specifically for you, shaped by our dialogue and within my artistic expression.
Sizes and prices
I accept commissions from 100 x 100 cm.
Prices start at:
100 x 100 cm – DKK 8,800
Other sizes from 100 x 100 cm upwards are priced individually based on my current prices. We will always agree on the size and total price before I begin.
I normally paint on cotton canvas. If you would prefer linen canvas or a special format, the price will be calculated individually.
How it works
Once we have discussed your wishes and agreed on the size, direction and price, an initial payment of 25% of the agreed price is required before I begin creating your painting.
The initial payment contributes towards materials and starting the commission and is non-refundable if you subsequently decide not to purchase the finished painting.
When the painting is complete, you will have the opportunity to see the finished work. If you decide to purchase it, the full initial payment will of course be deducted from the agreed price, and the remaining 75% will be payable.
If you decide not to purchase the finished painting, you will not be required to pay the remaining 75%. The painting will remain with me.
If you would like the painting for a particular occasion or by a specific date, please let me know before we agree on the commission. I can then assess whether this is realistic.
It is important to me that a commissioned painting feels personal to you while still having the freedom to develop naturally as I create it. It is in that balance between your wishes and my artistic freedom that the painting comes to life.
